Provide an evaluation of your health at the time around the menopause with a discussion of menopausal symptoms, osteoporosis, sexual health and benefits and risks of various treatments. Early menopause, which is defining as before age 35, is also diagnosed and treated.
A hormone imbalance which can result in irregular periods and increased hair growth as well as ultrasound changes in the ovaries. This problem is often found along with insulin resistance and problems with sugar levels
Initial evaluation for bone loss and risk for fracture
Treatment of fibroid tumors in the uterus that are causing symptoms such as pressure or heavy bleeding. Preservation of the uterus if this is desired by the patient
Procedure to treat the lining tissue of the uterine cavity to decrease heavy bleeding without the need for hysterectomy
Blockage of the fallopian tubes by inserting a device into the tubal openings
through the cervix and into the uterus. These procedures may be done in our
office under local anesthesia.

Removal of the uterus when other treatments have failed
Outpatient surgery for many gynecologic problems such as endometriosis and
ovarian cysts. Now with the Da Vinci robotic laparoscopy, more extensive
surgeries such as myomectomy (uterine fibroid removal) can be done as
outpatient procedures in some cases.
Removal of uterine fibroids with conservation of the uterus. This may be done with a DaVinci robotic procedure or may in some cases require an open procedure.
Dr. Thie provides other services not specifically listed, so please call the office if you have questions. Dr. Thie does not deliver babies but monitors patients in early pregnancy before referral to an obstetrician. We do not treat gynecologic cancer or evaluate for abnormal pap smears in our office but can make referrals. We do not treat primary bladder problems or uterine prolapse.
