- www.menopause.org is the website for the North American Menopause Society. They provide consumer information. Dr Thie is certified as a menopause practitioner by this organization.
- www.pofsupport.org is an organization that supports women diagnosed with premature menopause (menopause before age 35). It is a consumer organization that provides information and communicates the latest research to its members.
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
- www.pcosnutrition.com is a site by Angela Grassi, a nutritionist who specializes in dietary counseling for patients with polycystic ovaries. She has recently produced a workbook for patients with PCOS which you can find on her site. She does phone counseling for PCOS patients.
- www.PCOSupport.org is a great site for those who have been diagnosed with PCOS. This problem affects as many as 6-10% of all women. It is a leading cause of infertility, but can also have long term health implications such as diabetes and heart disease. You may have PCOS if you have the following symptoms: irregular or absent periods, infertility, excess facial and body hair, hypoglycemia, weight gain, acne and oily skin, scalp hair loss and skin tags.

Turner Syndrome
- www.turner-syndrome-us.org is a support group and clearing house for patients with Turner Syndrome. This is a chromosome disorder, usually the absence of one X chromosome that leads to absent periods, premature menopause and infertility.
